Keeping your kitchen safe is a top priority and you can keep your kitchen bacteria free by taking a few simple steps.

Tips for Safe Food Prep

1. Always rinse fresh produce under cold running water to remove dirt or germs.
2. If you’ve inadvertently purchased damaged produce throw it away or cut away the damaged sections before using.
3. Remember to sanitize your sink after rinsing any meats or poultry to keep bacteria from being transferred. You can use a mixture of water and bleach or distilled white vinegar for a natural option.
4. Discard any food that you plan to consume without cooking if it comes into contact with raw seafood, meat or poultry.
