Sugar cookies are a holiday staple, but if you don’t have the time or energy for a lot of fancy decorating here are four things you can do to make your cookies gift-worthy in minutes.
Sugar Cookies Four Ways
1. A Little Powder Goes A Long Way — A sprinkling of powdered sugar adds instant flair to plain sugar cookies. Place the cookies on a platter or cooling rack and dust them lightly with powdered sugar.
2. Make Sandwiches — Create delicious cookie sandwiches by spreading your favorite jam or melted chocolate on one cookie. Top with another cookie and you’re done.
3. Take a Dip — Dip the cookies in melted chocolate — you can use dark or white — then sprinkle with chopped nuts.
4. Get Your Sprinkle On — Roll the cookie dough into 1-inch balls. Roll the balls in colored sprinkles then flatten them with the bottom of a glass and bake. Your cookies will glisten on your cookie platter.
