Pomegranate Martini

There’s something about fall, and especially Thanksgiving, that makes me crave pomegranate (especially a pomegranate martini). Maybe it’s the fruit’s bright red shell that surrounds the ruby red seeds, or arils, inside. I want to snack on them and make everything from vinaigrette to cocktails (like a pomegranate martini) with the fruit itself or pom juice. The best part – besides the fact that they’re delicious – pomegranates are a good source of Vitamins A, C and E and folic acid. They’re also an excellent source of antioxidants.

Pomegranates are typically in season from October through February, but you can find pomegranate juice in your grocery stores year-round, which means you can fill your glass with a pomegranate martini any time you please. Four ingredients – vodka, pom juice, Triple Sec and Rose’s Sweetened Lime Juice – shaken, not stirred, and you’re done! It doesn’t get any easier or tastier than that!

If you’re mixing this pomegranate martini up when poms are in season, cut one open and sprinkle a few arils into each glass for garnish.

TIPS:
Make sure the lid is secure on your shaker or you’ll end up with a martini spill.

For an added touch, add a few pomegranate arils to your glass for garnish.

TOOLS:

A Pomegranate Martini is just what the bartender ordered! So simple to make and really delicious. Mix up a batch for your next happy hour!
